We are proud to announce that PhilSCA, represented by President Marwin M. Dela Cruz has been elected as one of the BOARD MEMBERS of the International Association of Aviation and Aerospace Education (ALICANTO). This prestigious appointment highlights our commitment to advancing PhilSCA in the global aviation education arena.
ALICANTO’s mission is to be a global advocate for aviation education and represent, promote and support the interests of its members. While the Association’s vision is striving to address aviation education and research issues, both current and for the future, as well as synthesize widely consensual positions reflecting our members’ views on those issues, at the global and/or regional levels as appropriate.
According to Dr. Michelle Milla, ICAO Next Generation Aviation Professionals (NGAP) Programme Manager, ALICANTO is the single most important way for ICAO to work more closely with the international educational and research sector. ICAO will turn first to ALICANTO, as a global association of universities, for advice and support on new areas of aviation-related research; various subject matter expertise for our working groups; collaborations on data analysis and other research projects; and to establish harmonized aviation education programs. Through ALICANTO, members will get to provide direct input to ICAO.
